I haven't been on GMR in afternoon rush in over 7 yrs, i know it would back up at times....all the wat to the high school? wow

It seems to be cyclic. I go thru there every workday. For a long time, GMR was the backup, so I started going down Willows to Hermanville then northbound on Rt instead. Then suddenly Rt 5 became the backup, while GMR was fine. A few days ago, it switched back.

I personally think the SHA is tinkering with stoplight timing, and overcorrecting each time.

I know that traffic was backed up on 235 last night so some of the extra traffic on GMR was people trying to get somewhere without sitting on 235 for the 45 minutes or so it takes to get up to the RT 4 intersection when it gets crazy.

Yeah, there have been a few accidents over the last couple days on 235. People will usually hear about it prior to departing work, and re-route through GMR - Rt5 hoping the drive will be a little smoother and take less time.

:shrug: I'm screwed either way, it's always some type of back up. I come up 5 from the south, so I either hit the back up before the light on 5 where I take a right onto GMR or after I pick up from day care and have to come back down GMR road to take a right on to 5. It's backed up in one of the two directions every single day :cds:

could you maybe take Willows? Never backed up there.
