Yeah - what happened to all that fair and balanced news reporting that he's always touting about.
I mean honestly - it's not like there's anyone here who floods the forums with nothing but left-wing liberal articles all the ####ing time.

I've noticed ETC hasn't touched this story. Why would ETC chime in? The reporter said Obama usually rushes away after speeches and he wanted to get his questions in first.

If Neil Munro doesn't know the difference between a Presidential Address and a news conference, he shouldn't be in the business in the first place.
Interrupting the president, no matter who it is, is NEVER acceptable decorum.
But I guess it's acceptable to throw common sense, decorum and procedure out the window because some people hate Obama. :sarcasm:

You'll forgive me while I recall all the times people interrupted Ronald Reagan.
I can understand reporter's frustration however, because this President rarely holds press conferences and very rarely fields any questions unless they've been submitted in advance and carefully screened. When he first started doing that, Helen Thomas was outraged. "What the hell do they think we are, puppets?" she said.
And Munro did get an answer - and Obama as usual whisked away without saying anything else. I don't know why he bothers with the press at all. He clearly has no intention of engaging with them. At least he got an answer.
And it didn't surprise me that Obama reacted with a snarl - if you think interrupting is inappropriate, so is such a reaction. With rare exception, both Bush and Reagan reacted amiably to much harsher treatment.

.... it's acceptable to throw common sense, decorum and procedure out the window.... Must be. The WON has been doing it the last 3.5 years.

I have always agreed, would not think of interrupting President Clinton, President Bush, heck, I would have even given that respect to President Nixon or President Carter, but I fail to see where obama has gained enough respect to even pretend to treat him as if he were somebody, Not like I would be mean to him if he was doing a job that fit his abilities, like, cutting my grass or something.

Heard the guy on Hannity last night (TV was on in the other room). He did say that he thought the President was finished and said that his only chance to ask a question would be at the very end, since Obama has this habit of taking off right after he's finished. So he didn't mean to interrupt - he thought he was done.
If that's the case, I'm guilty of that almost every day of my life.
I can hardly fault the man for asking a question because that's what those guys are supposed to do, but I do feel a bit sorry for the White House press corps, because due to the lack of actual press conferences with the President, they're reduced to taking dictation.

And we all know, with you, why that is.
