‘The Problem With Racism is Matt Drudge’: Bill Maher Defends Gwyneth Paltrow by Attacking Conservatives (http://www.theblaze.com/stories/the-problem-with-racism-is-matt-drudge-bill-maher-defends-gwyneth-paltrow-against-charges-of-racism/)

Bill Maher came to Gwyneth Paltrow’s defense Friday night after the actress received harsh criticism for what some have deemed to be a racist tweet.

Playing on the title of the bestselling Jay-Z and Kanye West song “N***as in Paris,” Paltrow tweeted that she was with “n***as in Paris, for real,” after appearing with the duo at a concert in Paris.

“She was onstage with the people who wrote that song while they were actually onstage, in Paris,” Maher said, after saying “f**k you; I don’t care” to the audience over not bleeping the “n” word.

He continued: “I would just like to say that the problem with racism is not Gwyneth Paltrow. The problem with racism is Matt Drudge.”

Maher proceeded to show the audience a number of screen shots from the Drudge Report, with comments like, “Louis Farrakhan, cause he’s so relevant now…Oh yes, Reverend Wright, because he matters to your life so much…Michael Jordan, angry, [because] that’s how we all remember him…This is racism in America.”

In another article on the same subject, the writer observed this (of the articles cited by Maher to indicate racism)

The Mike Tyson image (http://www.drudgereportarchives.com/data/2012/04/12/20120412_121829.htm) accompanied an April 12 story (http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/lookout/mike-tyson-trayvon-martin-case-disgrace-george-zimmerman-221115400.html) in which the former boxer expressed disgust at the fact that George Zimmerman, the Florida man charged in the murder of Trayvon Martin, had not yet been shot.
The Louis Farrakhan picture (http://www.drudgereportarchives.com/data/2012/04/17/20120417_134346.htm) was attached to an April 17 story (http://www.theblaze.com/stories/farrakhan-praises-pat-buchanan-as-a-great-republican-warns-whites-unless-you-change-your-end-has-come/) in which the black nationalist heaped praise on conservative commentator Pat Buchanan — calling him a “great Republican.”
On April 5, a picture (http://www.drudgereportarchives.com/data/2012/04/05/20120405_145927.htm) of Marion Barry was featured atop a story (http://washingtonexaminer.com/local/dc/2012/04/barry-we%E2%80%99ve-got-do-something-about-these-asians-coming/448886) of the D.C. Council member and former D.C. mayor expressing anger at the District’s Asian-American community for opening businesses in the city, instead of African Americans. “We got to do something about these Asians coming in and opening up businesses and dirty shops,” Barry said (http://washingtonexaminer.com/local/dc/2012/04/barry-we%E2%80%99ve-got-do-something-about-these-asians-coming/448886). “They ought to go. I’m going to say that right now. But we need African-American businesspeople to be able to take their places, too.”
The picture (http://www.drudgereportarchives.com/data/2012/04/11/20120411_180540.htm) of MSNBC host Al Sharpton and Attorney General Eric Holder appeared on April 11, with a story (http://cnsnews.com/news/article/eric-holder-praises-left-wing-activist-al-sharpton-says-facts-law-will-guide-trayvon) about Holder praising the left-wing activist for his efforts — protesting and rallying — on behalf of slain Florida teen Trayvon Martin.
Rev. Jeremiah Wright’s picture (http://www.drudgereportarchives.com/data/2012/04/10/20120410_113204.htm) was featured with an April 10 story (http://www.theblaze.com/stories/rev-wright-unleashes-new-racially-charged-sermons-justice-clarence-thomas-is-worshipping-some-other-god/) about the president’s former pastor claiming that “white supremacy” is driving “world policy” and that Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas worships “some other god.
April 27’s Michael Jordan picture (http://www.drudgereportarchives.com/data/2012/04/27/20120427_112555.htm) appeared with a story (http://sports.yahoo.com/news/jordans-bobcats-poised-worst-nba-215412373--nba.html) about how the Charlotte Bobcats’ basketball team owner presided over the “NBA’s worst team ever.”

I wonder if folks like Maher and Mathews and the rest of the sycophants at MSNBC are quietly happy Obama is going to lose because they are sick of how stupid they sound endlessly defending him and the indefensible and that it is a LOT easier to have a GOP'er to attack.

I don't know about those guys - but the liberals in my family and my workplace are way beyond convinced that he will be re-elected. They're even of the opinion that they don't want to hear criticism of him because "he's our President, get over it". Gotta love that. You'd think he was the KING, and not the President.

You know, it's funny how they never got over, and still haven't, Bush being President. But I dont recall conservatives telling liberals back then, "He's the President, get over it".

We said that all the time.

Imagine our embarrassment when we found out criticisms of the guy were spot on. We're soooo embarrassed, we're sending a real, true, hard core right wing zealot into the fray this time to make up for it.

Obama’s Former Law Professor & 2008 Adviser: ‘Obama Must be Defeated in the Coming Election’ (http://www.theblaze.com/stories/obamas-former-law-professor-2008-adviser-obama-must-be-defeated-in-the-coming-election/)

President Barack Obama once had the full support of Roberto Unger, one of his renowned Harvard law professors, but the educator and Brazilian politician is now publicly urging Americans not to vote for the president. It’s a bizarre about-face for a man who often advised Obama during his 2008 campaign. Today, Unger believes the president is undeserving of a second term in the White House.

Much like many of the angst-ridden individuals The Blaze spoke with at Netroots, an annual progressive conference, Unger believes that Obama has failed to live up to the promises he made in 2008. In essence, this corroborates that, in the opinion of many liberals — Unger included — the president hasn’t been far-left enough in his governance.

“President Obama must be defeated in the coming election. He has failed to advance the progressive cause in the United States,” the Harvard Law professor and Brazilian politician announced in a video published on YouTube.

“He has spent trillions of dollars to rescue the moneyed interests and left workers and homeowners to their own devices,” Unger added, also saying that Obama’s policies amount to “financial confidence and food stamps.”

The Daily Mail has more:

…some [of Unger's comments] would doubtless strike a chord with the President’s GOP opponents, including the academic‘s attacks on Mr Obama’s efforts to reform healthcare.

Mr Unger argues: ‘He has subordinated the broadening of economic and educational opportunity to the important but secondary issue of access to health care in the mistaken belief that he would be spared a fight.’

He also suggests that, despite their fierce rivalry, the Democrats’ agenda is little different to that of the Republicans, saying the party aims ‘to put a human face on the programme of its adversaries’.
