Was Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s win a fluke? - Norris McDonald's Auto Racing Blog (http://thestar.blogs.com/autoracing/2012/06/was-dale-earnhardt-jrs-win-a-fluke.html)

The man's second in points, four points out of the championship lead and fairly solidly locked in the Chase. He's been consistent all year long. To be honest, Junyer is championship material this year.

But someone writes this crap, simply because they don't like Junyer. I'm not his biggest fan, but let's be real. I honestly wouldn't be one bit surprised if he won the championship the way he's racing.

Junyer winning and running well is good for NASCAR, gets his fans energized, good for ticket sales and good for TNT and ESPN's ratings. The most popular driver running up front is what NASCAR needs, especially when it's not doing well with ratings and attendance.

It was a loot of post race hype but he did WIN. I do remember when he raced the #3 Wrangler car in Nationwide a few years ago and won the race. It sure did look like people handed it to him. Just sayin'!
