I've got a '97 LHS (Chrysler) that is costing me money just sitting in the driveway.
Does anybody know; and I mean actually know; of anywhere 'round here that takes used car donations? I could use the right off on my taxes, and I don't need the car anymore. TIA

The place in Hollywood. Can't remember the name. It's for the mentally challenged adults where the old wood treatment plant was.

Hmmm.....well, I'm kinda hosed then; b/c I can't remember where the old wood treatment plant was. I mostly go through H'wood, not into H'wood, unless I'm going to the Bean Bldg.. Thanks SoMDGirl42.
I'll remember it sooner or later, I guess.

We donated a car to Purple Heart earlier this year. This organization helps wounded warriors and their families. They come and get it and it is tax deductible up to $500 (if your car sells for more at auction, they will notify you so you can tax deduct the additional) Here is the website. Oh, and thanks for the reply about a bathroom contractor. I will PM you later today for info.

Thank you, and you're welcome. Mike is a jack-of-all-trades kinda guy.
If you wanted him to, he could gut your house and re-do it; re-building, wiring, plumbing, the whole nine.

FD really likes to have cars for training, however I do not believe they can or will give you a tax write off for the car.

He said they receive their cars for training from the salvage yard.
But thanks for looking out for the volunteers!!!! Years ago they had to beg for cars to practice on.

This one runs. It's just got miles on it and needs a little TLC and wrenching that I can't afford.

The only thing I can see that it MIGHT need is one or two good used tires.

Better tires; like I said in my other post. And it either needs a new CV joint, or other internal transmission work. Okay.....my other post left out a couple things. /:-\

Same thing here. Picked up my 20 year old Bronco, gave me a $500 receipt and on their way. Very professional and friendly.
