A friend of mine recently found this article (Homeless Numbers Dip, But More Families Suffer : NPR (http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=127907040)) depicting her long lost mother, Nga Thi Buscall. They were separated shortly after coming to the US to escape the Vietnam war. My friend and her family would LOVE to find her, but the article is a couple of years old. They have tried contacting the author and photographer, with no replies yet. They will also try taking photos to DC tomorrow.
Anyone have any other ideas or suggestions for searching??

Taking the photos to D.C. is probably the best idea, and try the soup kitchens and shelters specifically, as there can not be very many 62 year old Vietnamese Women so she would likely be remembered by some one.
And try this place = Vietnamese-American Community Service Center (http://vacsc.org/),
......... 2437-15th Street, NW. Washington, DC 20009
