We've been without power for about 1.5 hours here in Huntingtown off Plum Point Rd. The houses around us all are in the dark too...anybody know the inside scoop?

Smeco outage map shows Dunkirk, Huntingtown (501 - 1000 homes), and Lusby without power. Also, Indian Head and La Plata. Probably due to a transformer blowing bacause of unusually high consumption? Also possible for any of the other scenarios listed earlier. Hope you get your power back soon!

Sure enough I was on the phone with the automated smeco line and as soon as I said the word 'outage' the power came back on. So crises solved. Good thing, it was getting hot in here.
