From 3 to 9 pm, on the old Lighthouse Inn property, there will be a street faire featuring a rock wall and inflatable amusements for the kids, artisans and vendors. Also food tents set up by the Ruddy Duck, Ritas Frozen Custard, New Orleans style sno-cones and catering and more! I will be at the gazebo representing the Solomons Business Association with bottled water; collecting donations to help pay for the fireworks.

My family's never gone to the festivities in Solomon's. Can anyone recommend where to park, how early one should arrive to get a good spot to watch the fireworks, etc.? Should we bring our lawn chairs? Thanks!

I just came from the island and there are already a lot of people down there!
You can park at Glascock field across from the Marine Museum. I think the Optimists club charges $5 a car. The boardwalk seems to be the place to be and it seems many people get there early to save their spot.
It is very very hot so be prepared to sweat!
