Boo hoo, according to the County Times inmate source, they're hot because there is no a/c,and all they ever get to eat is spoiled milk, potatoes, and beans. Their ramen noodles are overpriced, and their ATM fees are too high. What a waste of newspaper to even bother running this story. I mean,seriously-who gives a fu*k?

Not me. I hope all you mf'ers are positively ROASTING.

Sorry for all the staff who have to work in those conditions though,it isn't right for any hard working, respectable person to have to suffer to take care of/facilitate the life of some piece of crap.

How did we ever survive before A/C? We just did. Spoiled people. Deal with it.

I hope the inmates are sweating their asses off. I could care less about their comfort, there are plenty of us out here still working and paying our taxes with no electric in our own homes in order for the counties to babysit grown adults who don't know how to behave. I hope they are miserable, jail is a damn punishment not a vacation.

Just got my power back after it being out 68 hrs., I truly sympathize with all who are still waiting for their power; I wish things were better.
Prisons are low priority right now...IMHO.

The Leonardtown graybar hotel is not air conditioned because the comisioners thought the citizens didn't need to pay for the added expens of chillin criminals

You are not as mean as you try to look.
You hope he is getting enough protein in his diet.

You are really a sweet forgiving woman..
God bless you (unless that offends you):huggy:

I suspect most of the younger men in Jessup swallow *loads* of protein.

No problem w prisoners not having ac but I doubt the worker bees are suffering much. Not all areas in the jail are w/o ac.

As for commissary and other inflated prices for jail/prison stores and devices - this would be fine too if the little crackheads were earning their own money. More likely though is that their already overburdened family members "have" to support them.

You've got to be kidding me. Our soldiers serving in Afghanistan and Iraq would love to be home with or without A/C, how dare you inmates complain. You've got a roof over your head, a bed to sleep in and food. Your dental, medical and education is free. We have soldiers who are serving overseas while their families are struggling to make ends meet. If you dont want to be in jail, dont do the crime. :wench:

This is by far the best post I've seen in a very long time. We treat these animals to damn well in this country!

If it wasn't for the prison staff having to suffer (which they shouldn't), I'd say no jail should have A/C. As for medical/dental, screw 'em. They shouldn't be there to begin with, why keep them alive longer to either rot in jail or get out/come back again anyway? I also feel they should have no TV and live on bread/water but I know that's just cruel and inhumane too.

DELTONA MAN ARRESTED FOR PULLING GUN ON AC REPAIRMAN (http://volusia.org/sheriff/press/120104.htm)

Pulling out a gun to settle a dispute with an air conditioning repairman turned out to be a bad idea for a Deltona man, who was arrested by responding Volusia County Sheriff’s deputies and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

I about fell over When I read that "strict dietary needs for inmates' nutritional intake" includes an average 3,000 calorie per day diet! Children in this country are starving and they're complaining about 3,000 taxpayer-funded calories per day. UFB! I'm wondering why that inmate was able to get in touch with the local press in the first place and get a story published. Again, UFB.

Do you know which window is to his cell? Do you ever go up there, stand outside the fence opposite his window and moon him? How about posting a taunting sign that REALLY expresses your feelings about him?

It also reminds me of our wonderful firemen. Just reading the paper and seeing them wearing and carrying all that stuff makes me so grateful for our hero's that are a bit closer to home. :)

Maybe we should take the prisoners and send them to Afghanistan to walk the fields looking for landmines and IEDs.
