My dog is missing - from the Newburg area. She has a collar, tags and is microchipped. She is about 50 lbs and sweet. Am concerned as she has had seizures in the past. Please reply here if you see her! Photo attached.

Thanks for the link, I may call - I have resisted washing her blanket... Have a game camera on the drive - have not seen her on it. The last call I got was last Friday. Both my husband & I have been over there looking.

how far out do you have flyers? (like all the way up to the light at buds creek rd... down to the bridge.... at the stops of each road from those two points and in the cross overs on 301)

Just up to the crossover at 257. I could plaster some more around the area. I don't think she would travel much farther than that though...

oohhh no dear.... lemme tell you..

my buddies bloodhound got loose in waldorf... (near middleton hall...)

She traveled from there.. to Burnt Store Rd... (hughesville) in about 1/2 hour...

..... we had posters from hughesville... to waldorf...

BUT THE ONE MISTAKE we made was not placing them at the FAR points on all roads...

it so happend that a boy saw the dog picked up... (and knew what time it was) .. and the person lived all the way on rt 234.. he usually never travels that road so he never came back that way. so he never saw the signs....

it wasnt till a week later he saw the ad i had place on the baynet...

so when she was picked up she was over 10 miles even from PLS

I'm so sorry Daisy is still missing. Have you been checking the shelters? Dawn posted a link on the Facebook - Pets Lost and Found in Southern Maryland page for one of the shelters. Still praying for you.

Are you offering a reward? I know it stinks but I have heard some people will hold a dog waiting to see if a sign goes up with a reward offered. There is a company called "Dogs Finding Dogs" that could help. Dogs Finding Dogs (http://www.dogsfindingdogs.com)

I spoke with the one of the ladies and she was very helpful about ways to go about trying to find a lost dog. Offered a lot of advice over the phone.

Don't give up hope. A friend lost her dog in the Charlotte Hall area and got a call from PG shelter about 1 year later saying they had her dog. Seems someone from the Brandywine area had the dog and then decided to turn it in to the shelter. Something didn't seem quite right when they were asking them questions and after the people left decided to scan for a microchip and found my friend's information. Very happy reunion!

Also, if you haven't done this already, post everywhere you can, findfido.com, petfinder.com, pets911.com, vets offices, shelters, Facebook, etc.

Will keep looking for her.

:yay: sent that to her

the only issue is that they do need a scent to work from... they are tracking trailing dogs.. not miracle workers

with the hot and dry weather we have had...and the length of time since the last sighting... it would be a waste for them to drive all the way down there for that..

NOW IF... there is a sighting of her :yay: call ASAP....

but dont give up hope.

Sorry, didn't realize the date of the original post. She did tell me if there is a sighting or someone thinks they saw her and they had something with her scent on it, they could tell if the sighting was actually the right dog or not.

So, don't wash her blankets or anything with her scent on it!

I would absolutely pay for her return, though nothing I put out there states that... And her blankets got washed. I have passed out more flyers and posted them at farther points.

Just to help with some hope we had a dog get loose in fall when I was a kid. We looked and looked never found anything. In the spring we were on the steps getting on our shoes and she came walking up the driveway like she had never left. Keep up hope.

I've never seen one of your signs posted about the dog. I have been seeing a couple of beagles on Swan Point Road a lot lately, but not your dog. I will mention it to friends that your dog is missing - word gets around when there's a dog roaming the area consistently. I hope she is home soon, I know you must miss her terribly.
