Did anyone else go to the Taste of Charle County on Wednesday at Regency Furniture Stadium? The food Service vendors had only 1 Service line each and the lines went outside the tent and just kep going. I really didn't want to wait in such a long line in 97 degree heat! I laughed when we went inside the stadium to find the concession stand open. Their food (especially the hamburger) has got to be the worst in the county but there were many folks in line because the lines outside were so long. They need more food vendors to get involved. My wife and I left early and went out to dinner in Waldorf. I think it was a good idea but very poorly executed!
Anyone else have an opinion?
Piss poor choice for the county to move the event. Wonder how much extra kickback the commissioners get from that?

It was hot and the lines were long. You couldn't have a beer with your tasting either, which kinda stunk.
I did like the food I had though...particularly Brasas Grill.

What constitutes "Taste of Charles County"? Other than local specialities like ribs, chicken, crabs, why would "Hamburger" be on "Taste of Charles County'"? What is special about a Charles County hamburger?
No offense to the OP, just humorous about the event and venue. Now, Sandy Point State Park has an annual Seafood Festival, pricey, but fun and tasty.

I think the OP said the hamburger was at a normal concession stand

I didn't understand it either. I could see both fireworks shows from my house and Smallwood Village had the better show anyways.
