Yick. Not worth it.
How is the Melting Pot? Do I want to go there or is it not worth it either?

Do you like fondue?
I hear it's not very good, and expensive.
You in edgewater? Fuji is very good if you like sushi.

I like fondue but I've only had it as cheese and bread. Though Melting Pot might be something fun, but I've also heard it's not all that and it would annoy me to spend all that money on a so-so meal when I could go to Fogo and pig out on yum.

Vrai, everyone has different tastes, so not disagreeing with anyone on here's opinion of Melting Pot, but if your only exposure to fon due is is dipping bread in to melted cheese i would definitely say it is worth trying out. It is expensive IMHO, but i would not say it is overrated. You basically cook your stuff yourself at the table with instructions from the server. If you overcook your steak or lobster, it is on you. It is definitely worth experiencing at least once and forming your own opinion. Atmosphere is pretty nice, but food and drinks are on the expensive side. I say try it out at least once and you can find out for yourself.

I mainly didn't enjoy the food or experience because:
1. The whole meal/experience was rushed by an impatient waiter who didn't explain the confusing menu or dining experience very well.
2. The food wasn't tasty. i.e., Your meal/choice of meat can be cooked in a water flavored to your choice. I don't remember the options but lets say it was cajun, mediterranean and something else. No matter the flavor, you're eating boiled meat. Nobody likes a boiled piece of steak or chicken.
I expected and hoped that the choc and cheese fondues would be good, but was sorely disappointed :-( The fondue you can make at home with good ole Velveeta or Hershey's has more flavor than that served at TMP. No kidding!
3. The bill. For $100, my husband and I can say we ate there and will not go back.

My wife and I enjoyed it. I'm not sure we would do it again anytime soon but it was fun.
Edit: Melting Pot not PF Changs. The one time I had PF Changs I thought it was terrible.
