Unemployment Rate Dropped In Every State That Elected A Republican Gov. In 2010 (http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2012/07/07/Unemployment-Rate-Dropped-In-Every-State-That-Elected-A-Republican-Gov-In-2010)
In 2010, influenced by the Tea Party and its focus on fiscal issues, 17 states elected Republican governors. And, according to an Examiner.com analysis, every one of those states saw a drop in their unemployment rates since January of 2011. Furthermore, the average drop in the unemployment rate in these states was 1.35%, compared to the national decline of .9%, which means, according to the analysis, that the job market in these Republican states is improving 50% faster than the national rate.
Since January of 2011, here is how much the unemployment rate declined in each of the 17 states that elected Republican governors in 2010, according to the Examiner:
Kansas - 6.9% to 6.1% = a decline of 0.8%
Maine - 8.0% to 7.4% = a decline of 0.6%
Michigan - 10.9% to 8.5% = a decline of 2.4%
New Mexico - 7.7% to 6.7% = a decline of 1.0%
Oklahoma - 6.2% to 4.8% = a decline of 1.4%
Pennsylvania - 8.0% to 7.4% = a decline of 0.6%
Tennessee - 9.5% to 7.9% = a decline of 1.6%
Wisconsin - 7.7% to 6.8% = a decline of 0.9%
Wyoming - 6.3% to 5.2% = a decline of 1.1%
Alabama - 9.3% to 7.4% = a decline of 1.9%
Georgia - 10.1% to 8.9% = a decline of 1.2%
South Carolina - 10.6% to 9.1% = a decline of 1.5%
South Dakota - 5.0% to 4.3% = a decline of 0.7%
Florida - 10.9% to 8.6% = a decline of 2.3%
Nevada - 13.8% to 11.6% = a decline of 2.2%
Iowa - 6.1% to 5.1% = a decline of 1.0%
Ohio - 9.0% to 7.3% = a decline of 1.7%
On the other hand, the unemployment rate in states that elected Democrats in 2010 dropped, on average, as much as the national rate decline and, in some states such as New York, the unemployment rate has risen since January of 2011.
This is yet another example of how the so-called “blue state” model is not working.

January 2010, New Jersey's unemployment rate was at 9.7% and now at 9.2%. Still seems high but who are kidding New Jersey is a blue state with a moderate Republican in charge.
For the record Chris Christie along with Bob McDonnell were elected in 2009.

It could be argued that a few of those states have declined because of the automotive sector rebounding and that the election of a Republican Govenor only gives the illusion that the Republican Governor is responsible. Just like the dotcom boom happening under Clinton gave the illusion that Clinton created a great economy.
And a few of those states, Florida most notably, have had Republican govenors for years.

Actually Christie was elected in November of 2009 and took office in 2010..
The unemployment for the state of NJ peaked BEFORE he took office, and plateued when he entered office (Unemployment STOPPED it's meteoric climb). Unemployment rate was at 9.7% when he was elected in Nov 2009, and has not exceeded 9.7% since his election.
Today the unemployment rolls are at their lowest levels since 2008...

So, in Republican states that are doing well, Bozo is the reason, and in Repulican states that are still messed up (Louisiana for example), the Gov is the reason? Typical logic for a Bozologist.

You mean like South Carolina??
Where Boeing is moving, even though the democrats tried to block it?
Or where Hyundai, Kia, and BMW plants are... Thank God for those BAILOUTS!!
Yep, the bailouts sure helped there..
Of course SC unemployment would be a lot less if it wasn't for the democrats blocking companies from moving there ... to support their Union thu.. I mean friends..

Actually I mentioned the number on the rolls, but the unemployment rate is what it is, and what it is is lower than when he took office.
It was 9.7% when he took office and has never been higher than 9.7% since he took office. It's not a huge improvement but it is an improvement, despite what you're trying to make us believe.

Your own link shows a 9.2% unemployment rate, which contradicts your 10% claim. And the unemployment rate has dropped since 2010 (gosh, imagine that!)

Yes, it could be argued, but not very successfully with a fully informed electorate.

That's not what I said. I said, in some states (Michigan, Ohio and Pennsylvania most notably), the turnaround can be credited in large part to the automobile industry turning around. So, it really wouldn't have mattered who was Governor. Kind of like Clinton being in office during the dotcom boom -- he got the credit and the glory but it wasn't entirely because of his policies.
And other states on that list (such as Florida) have had Republican governors for years. I'm not disputing their numbers, but ththe article makes it look like the states, like Florida, ousted a Democrat and put in a Republican and it magically fixed the economy when they've had Republican governors for years.
And I'm not an Obama supporter. I just don't like Willard Romney.
