Dear Friends of Marlow Heights 60s and 70s:

Next Steak in a Sack Get Together: The next get together at Steak in a Sack will be this Saturday, July 14th, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. For those interested, some of us will meet up at 12 noon at Benjamin Stoddert Jr. High (if the school is open). If Stoddert’s closed, we’ll take a stroll through Iverson Mall. As always, the important thing is, “not what you wear, but to be there”, at Steak in a Sack, to see old friends, classmates, neighbors (maybe even a former teacher or principal!), make new friends, and have a fun, nostalgic walk back in time to those great days of Marlow Heights and vicinity of the 60s and 70s. Keep the memories alive, come to the ‘Sack!

2012 Marlow Heights 60s and 70s Back to School Dance: When: September 29, 2012, 6 p.m. to 12 Midnight. Where: The Marlboro Moose Lodge 1856, 15103 Marlboro Pike, Upper Marlboro, Maryland. Cost: $20 per person, exclusive of food and drinks. What: Bringing together everyone from Marlow Heights, Hillcrest Heights, Temple Hills, Oxon Hill, Camp Springs, Morningside, Suitland, District Heights, Capitol Heights, Clinton, and all the southern/central PG County communities of the 60s and 70s. Featuring entertainment by the legendary NoWhere Men (yes, the very ones that may have played your senior prom, Teen Club dance, or appeared at your Rec Center), a 50-50 raffle, the "wheel", and seeing all your old friends and classmates (and possibly a former teacher or principal!). Also, the Potomac Senior High Class of '72 will be celebrating their 40-year reunion at the dance, so you are strongly advised to purchase your tickets early to ensure a seat. See the link below for securely ordering tickets on line. Anyone that prefers to mail in a check can contact me directly for mailing arrangements (I will be providing a mailing address for same in the near future). There will be a cash bar, and food can be purchased a la carte from the Moose kitchen, consisting of hamburgers, hot dogs, roast beef and BBQ sandwiches, french fries, slaw, etc. If you grew up in Marlow Heights or anywhere in southern and central PG County, this is THE event of the year you won't want to miss.
Come on out and, "Keep the memories alive!"
