Is there anything in the upcoming elections that could STOP this? Different judges?

Neither does he. He was in his truck there. Short little guy built like a gymnast. Usually has a mower in his red ford truck.

Ah you know him. Yeah he and I have talked and he has been ok, mostly the peeps living in the house are way weird. Better than when they first move in, but the neighborhood is the worse for having them here. For a while until my neighbor, son and and I had chats with some of the boys playing b-ball on the street no one would even walk by there anymore. They let two little dogs run loose all the time and have from 4 to 8 cars parked in the yard at any given time.

Elect someone else besides Richard Fritz. Complaining to Annapolis will not help. In this county it's who you are and who you know.

It's a huge problem all around in every community. I disagree with it's who you know/are. My husband, I am now separated, locked himself in a room with a weapon, threatened suicide, had the swat team take 3 hours to get him out, and he walked on his own free will in our house a few hours later. My problem isn't their release. My problem is the intake evaluations and the right for society to be warned. I've had to take on unthinkable tasks to remove him so my two young children and i feel a little safer. I, as his wife, can not even be told the most minor of details, because his rights are protected. It happens everywhere, I am living proof. We live in a nice area, and my husband is extremely educated. He comes from a wonderful family, and has had no history with the wrong side of the law. I am personally going to do everything in my power to CHANGE these laws.

You realize that this story has nothing to do with a judge right? The article says he was released by a COMMISSIONER.......They are not elected. They are state employees that follow strict guidelines.

You ain't from around these parts are yah.
This county has a good ole boy network like you would not believe. Richard Fritz is a big issue, I know some people from high school who have sold him some uh "party supplies". They get let off for pretty much anything when they go to court. The criminals here fear nothing because BS.
I know it is not just this county I know it goes on every where, but the only you might get out of trying to change anything is a few receipts for fuel.

Nope, I'm a transplant here for now. My point was missed I believe. The standards need to be changed. How intense evaluations are, what next of kin can legally know, follow-ups for the person and their family. It shouldn't matter if the person has private insurance. I wish it were possible for criminals to be seen by the same judge/commissioner each time they are up for bond review. I do understand that schedules won't allow that. AND Commissioners, in my opinion, shouldn't be able to release certain crimes.
Say what you will, it is America after all, but sticks and stones.....
I am standing alone, I have fought against the odds, I have been up against judges that simply won't hear me. Maybe part of that is the fact my husband is an attorney. But, I am living proof that if you fight hard enough you can change your future. I wouldn't wish our past year of chaos on anyone, but I am going to continue to fight for others who may have it worse than me.

I've had similar issues trying to protect myself and my kids from family member's insanity.

So what are the strict guidelines that allow a person to attempt suicide and assault an officer and not be jailed or sent to the hospital? Unless "assaulting the officer" was a bs charge (as often is the case)?

Good point.
It's amazing how people can read the article and react by blaming judges when, in fact, it was a Court Commisioner, who released the guy on his own recogniznace.

I wonder the same thing. Seems nobody gets more than a slap on the wrist around here, no matter how many times they screw up.
I also often wonder why anyone bothers to work and support themselves when it's apparently so easy to just keep getting knocked up and living off the taxpayers while sitting on their lazy azzes? But I guess that's another issue all together.

I wish i could tell you. Let me tell you something. Lets suppose the police took him to the hospital. How long do you think they will keep him? If he has charges he has to go to jail. The jail wont want him if he is "suicidal" so back to hospital and he gets checked out.
This is not always as easy as it seems. Everyone is usually trying to CYA.

So i didn't realize until I tried to find a local/national story to paste that this wasn't national news. I'm was born and raised in those parts of the hand state, so i heard this tragic news on Saturday. I would have posted he was wanted before he did us all a favor and off'd himself. Point being, I know not every news can make national headlines. But....after taking the lives of two (one seven months pregnant and she also was killed) young mothers, shooting but not killing the victims' mom, and four days on the run, why wasn't it national news?
