Yesterday afternoon around 4:15 There was an American Bulldog Wandering in the rush hour traffic just off of 235 on 4 in front of the big church there. She stopped got out of her car and got the very happy to out of that mess Dog to follow her back to her car. I could tell she was a little bit scared of the dog but that did not stop her.
The Dog was wagging his/her Tail big time... I could tell he/she:buddies: was scared. I hope the owner finds the dog and appreciates the lady who saved him/her.

I was heading to the bridge when she was getting the dog into her SUV. Don't know if I'd trust a strange dog in my car. Never know what they'll do.

With my luck probably poop for joy. Actually I picked up a huge dog on 235 by Chancellors. He was standing in the median. Kept him for a few days and Mike at Mikes Bikes took him for me. He liked to lay his head in my lap. I swear it weighed 30#.

Bravo!!! :buddies: She obviously took a risk over the sadness of potentially seeing the dog dead on the side of the road the next day!!!

I have done this many times..... I do understand what you are saying!!
I feel better when im in the van.. cuz i have two large crates and a medium on in there.. so they go in the crates.
I picked up a Dobie...i will say i was nervous... but i called him over and he jumped right in the crate. He belonged to my neightbor behind me... knocked on his door.. and said.. do you have the black and brown dobie...
he said..yeah...he is in the back yard.... I laughed and said NOPE..he is in my van!!!! his dog figured out how to jimmy the lock on the door and he was free!!

if a dog is that aggressive.. I doubt he will just run up to you and jump in.
or he will just run off

or he will just run offHe looked friendly enough. His tail was wagging while she was trying to get him into the vehicle. He didn't look dirty. Looked well taken care of.

then i would not have worried.... dobie even wagged his nub.. and looked nice
the little fluffy white dog i tried to help last night was very nervous and i didnt trust him enough to try to pick him up... he went in to a yard and back under the fence where he lived.... talk to my neighbor about it...
and she was shocked he had got out... and wondered how... told her he went under the fence.

You obviously have your comfort level and I have mine, I would have helped and you're free to do what you do...:coffee:

I found 2 little white dogs running across the field in front of my house one day.
I stopped, they both ran toward me. One just wanted to jump in the truck, the other just looked at me and barked.
I finally got both of them in the truck, and after about 5 minutes, both of them were on my lap just looking out the window.
The owner finally called me back, and I dropped them off, but they were my road dogs for a good bit.
Xena didn't like it too much though.

I would stop, have stopped and what's horrible was seeing others around that were beeping their horns at the poor scared animal. One poor little female lab on rt 5 had a few others trying to coax her off the road. She was so scared she was peeing everywhere. I crouched way down and called her and she came crawling on her belly. So so scared. I stopped because god forbit one of my dogs ever got loose, I would hope someone would stop for them.
