The second Sunday of August to the following Saturday is designated as Shop Maryland Week each year. That means qualifying apparel and footwear $100 or less are exempt from the Maryland 6% sales tax. This year, Shop Maryland Week is August 12-18. Accessory items are not included.

Additionally, there will be a tax-free three-day weekend during which the sales and use tax will not apply to the sale of any Energy Star Product listed below, or solar water heater. This tax-free weekend will occur the weekend of February 16, 2013, through February 18, 2013.

Wanted to pass this along to parents like myself who are in the midst of back-to-school shopping for their children. Our sons are 12 and 15 yrs old and being growing boys, we need all the help we can get! :twitch:

Well, gee, that pretty much lets out any parents who happen to be employed as teachers in PG county as they go back August 13th. I think I'll just go to Delaware...

Lowering taxes is bad. Didn't O'Malley and the Democrats in the legislature get the memo?

Look Sire, the crowds, they grow weary of your tariffs, they are growing restless and our guards fear a revolt.

throw them some crumbs, it will make them happy and they will soon forget their sorrow.

But Sire, could they not just cross over to the Kingdom Delaware and buy their wares?

We shall place guards upon the paths between us and take from them what they have.
