Once, just once, can you create a simple sentence without screwing it up? Not to be off topic but cripe, it hurts my eyes and embarrasses your sixth grade teacher.

Seemed to me, he's poking both parties. The Republicans for backing the withholding, and at the same time the Dems by mocking what he knows the real reason behind the hue and cry. They know damn well they wont find any smoking gun, but they can line item Mitt to death...."$XXXX,XXX for HOUSEHOLD STAFF!!!!!!OMFG, he pays people to CLEAN HIS POOL!!!!!!!" Look at what Stewart is using in his mocking, he's hitting both sides equally, which he's honest enough to do occasionally. Of course the Dems have to be over the top for him to hit them, but he has been willing to when they are.

About as well-thought-out an answer as I'd expect from you.
So, what's the difference? Stewart is always right and Limbaugh is always wrong? :lmao: Whatever.
Do you think that Stewart is a legitimate "news source" rather than a prancing harlequin?
Get over it. Stewart is every bit of a party ass-kissing entertainer as Limbaugh is - and nothing more - whether you like it or not.

Does everyone else also see the irony here?
Good.
And how do you figure John Stewart pisses me off? He doesn't piss me off in the least. I think he's a brilliant satirist, and an all around funny guy.
But I recognize him for what he is.

There is no greater indictment of the left leaning main stream media than John Stewart. While the focus of his show is left leaning and tends to more bite at the right, FOX, right wingers et al, the real people who should be embarrassed is the msm.

absolute fuc**ng moronic fail!
So, I've heard the denials, I haven't heard one single logical refutation that's based in fact, rather than opinion.
Would you care to exlain WHY that was an "absolute ####ing moronic fail", or do you just want to continue drooling onto your keyboard?
And if you're going to throw a bunch of opinion at me, rather than fact, about how Stewart is "truthful" but Limbaugh is a "liar", you can take a flying #### at a rolling doughnut, because I'm not interested in your opinion.
Both Stewart and Limbaugh are Politcal Jokesters. Neither one should be considered a "legit news source". All either one of them do do is tell their target audiences what they want to hear so they can laugh and pat each other on the back and high-five each other about how stupid the other side is.
Period.
Tell me how I'm wrong.

You really need someone to explain the difference between the two? Really?
You can't figure that out yourself?

No difference, they both have audiences that do not think for themselves.
Dailyck and giant one are just as bad as ditto heads but they do not know the difference.
Make you own decisions, Stewart is an ass also.

This shows how really mis-informed you are.
Stewart is not a journalist, he does not have to, nor does he, speak the truth.
He is a comedian, his job is to make you laugh at his stupid liberal commentary.
BTW thanks for calling me a redneck :smoochy:

There is an enormous difference. Limbaugh states his goal and purpose openly; that he is a 100% partisan Republican. While he takes GOP'ers to task once in awhile, when it matters, he gets in line and supports the party first. Almost everything he does is designed and intended and stated to poke at and defeat the left.
Stewart doesn't declare himself because he, like a lot of people, thinks of himself as 'right minded' more so than liberal or conservative.
One of the things that has long made the left crazy is that anyone who openly identifies themselves as an unabashed liberal is immediately marginalized by the public as a whole whereas Limbaugh is rewarded for being free and open and honest about who and what he is.
So, modern liberals, Stewart, Ed, Chris Mathews, Rachel, they all have to walk that fine line and take the position that they are thinking people and right minded. They can't just come out with it or they become Olbermann; banished.
Look at Colbert. He is, clearly, a liberal, and that is fine. It's easy and fun to play on the stereotypes of Republicans and Christians. What is hard to do would be to do his show the opposite way; be a real conservative and pretend to be a buffoon liberal.
The left, the media, would not stand for it.
Huge difference.

I've generally found comedian punditry annoying because they don't have to subscribe to anything resembling journalistic ethics. They don't even have to pretend to tell the truth, because the truth usually isn't as funny.
Case in point - Leno (not someone I regard as a comedian pundit) made a remark that in anticipation of Romney giving access to more tax returns, Obama has decided to release 10 year's worth of birth certificates.
See - THAT'S funny. But he's never intending to be taken seriously.
I happen to like Greg Gutfeld - but most of the time, his humor leans to the absurd and preposterous. It's funny because while to the point, he makes liberal use of ridiculous things like unicorns and puppies.
I never liked people like Franken or Maher. They want you to take them seriously. It's just that they get to hide behind the curtain of "I'm just making jokes" while saying things they could never hope to publish in a newspaper no matter how liberal.

And that is the Stewie model; Sarcasm, facial expressions, set ups of the news. It works great in the Daily Show setting.
If you watch any of his old stand up stuff, he's been doing the same thing for most of his career but, it just doesn't work as well when it's just you on stage. Gets old quick.
Try watching his show and ignore the props, the headlines, all that stuff and just focus on his performance. He's really not very good.

I agree just a liberal ass and not that all funny, way too predictable.
At least Limbaugh changes it up and like you stated is unabashedly right wing and makes no apologies for it.
I really think the rest truly beleive the are "mainstream" and the rest of us are
"bible toting, gun packing" rednecks.

Anh. Rush it too predictable, too. Right now, he is all about bashing John McCain as though he suddenly became this finger in the air media pal. Rush got in line fall of 2008; Party unity. Limbaugh alone could have seen to it that McCain, the entire RINO culture of big business and big government, was soundly rejected but, he got in line. Predictable; when you have the power, you don't use it. When you don't, argue you would.
Rush could also get a whole lot further if he didn't pretend that giant international corporations and Wall Street were pro US and, basically, mom and pop operations that got where they are by hard work and going to church on Sunday. He would also do better if he didn't demonize the left on EVERYTHING.
He and Stewart share that, that they both could do a lot more good for the nation and I firmly believe they both want what is best for the US but, at the end of the day, they are both party first types.
I guess it's the nature of the beast?
