Hey folks, we had dinner last night at the Captain's Table in Solomons. Husband had the rockfish and was throwing up all night and today. Just wondering if anyone else ate there and got sick.

If you think you got Food Poisoning from there, you need to contact them, as well as the Health Department. If your Hub has to go to the Emergency Room, they would report it to the H.D as well. Hope he feels better soon. Water, water, and more water will help him stay hydrated.

A nasty stomach virus is also circulating here in S. Maryland. Fever, vomiting (from both ends), etc... Anyway, feel better soon:smile:

Everyone is different but normal onset of bacteria-borne food-related illness is 6-9 hours, 7-8 being average.
magicsearay, if husband is hardy and in good health at trip to the ED shouldn't be necessary, but as Roman posted hydrate/hydrate/hydrate. If symptoms continue might wanna go to a "Doc in the Box." Hope he feels better soon.

I have eaten there for many years. Have always had good food and service and
I have never heard of anyone getting sick from eating there.

This is all true.
I would want to evaluate and deduct all the the things that you mentioned in your first post BEFORE slapping up a thread on a public forum and naming it "Food Poisoning".

Agree! My son got Salmonella poisoning from Red Lobster many years ago. He was very very sick. He ate chicken tenders there that were cross contaminated by raw fish. The ER reported it to the health dept and they in turn contacted the restaurant. Restaurant gave us back our money as well as gift cards to use in the future. Don't let your husband get dehyrated. Even if he can just sip water or gatorade it will help. Hope he gets better soon.
