I am looking for something fun to do with my 7- and 9-year-olds this weekend, and I thought we might check out the Chesapeake Beach Railway Trail. They are competent enough on their bikes that I don't think they would plow anyone over (assuming the trails are wide enough).
Does anyone have any advice or know about how long the trails are? Are they to rigorous for a young kid to pedal through?
Thanks!

I saw these links, but none of them give much information about the length of the trail or how accessible it would be for kid bike riders--they aren't ready for mountain biking by any means.
One of the sites states that the trail is 39 miles long, but I think that is the length of the final trail, once it connects all of the pieces. I don't think it's anywhere near that long right now.
Some of the pictures show the boardwalk portion is paved, but I wonder how much of it is. Anyone been there?

The Chesapeake Beach portion might be a couple miles, much of it boardwalked. There are hills but nothing major. If you're familiar with the area think from the Rod 'N' Reel to Richfield Station.
