"JERUSALEM (Reuters) - Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney would respect an Israeli decision to use military force to stop Iran from developing a nuclear weapon, a senior aide said on Sunday.

Romney met in Jerusalem with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, on the second leg of a foreign trip aimed at bolstering his foreign policy credentials in his race to unseat President Barack Obama in the November 6 presidential election.

Shortly before those talks, Romney's senior national security aide, Dan Senor, told reporters travelling with the candidate:

"If Israel has to take action on its own, in order to stop Iran from developing that capability, the governor would respect that decision."

The comment seemed to put Romney at odds with Obama's efforts to press Israel to avoid any preemptive strike before tough Western economic sanctions against Iran run their course."

Looks like Mitt is gonna get us into another GOP war if elected.

The Republican base is Evangelical Christians and not Jews, as the majority of Jews vote Democrat.

The Evangelical Christians are being traitors in this regard because the Christians do not like or support either the Jewish State nor the State of Iran, and as such it is seen as their two enemies fighting each other.

For the State of Israel and Iran to fight and kill each other is a win-win for the Christians as they watch from the side lines with no care who is killed or which side wins or loses.

Of course they expect the Jewish side to win but it is based on a barbaric and ignorant misinterpretation of the Bible, in (they wrongly believe) that when Christ returns then the Christians will kill the millions of Jews and the Christians will then take away the Holy Lands and Jerusalem from both the Jews and from the Arabs.

So Romney appears to be playing up to the Jews when the Jews are being played as fools, while the blood thirsty American Christians cheer it onward.

The Jews would be smart if they were to learn from their own history of the infamous Masada (http://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/jsource/Archaeology/Masada1.html), in that there the Jews took and occupied the Roman fortress of Masada and at its end the Jewish occupiers had to kill themselves in a mass suicide along with all their fine weapons and lots of food and equipment laying along side of their dead bodies.

It is a truly ugly reality being perpetrated in the so called Holy Lands.

 the three stooges are outraged but most folks think supporting the ONLY democtacy in the middle east and the ONLY country there that hasn't publicly stated they support the destruction of the U.S. is a good thing.

Obviously, none of the three stooges who led off in this thread bothered to read the link.

A top aide said Romney would support an Israeli military strike if all options had been exhausted, but the candidate himself balked at repeating that position.

And the fact that 70% of our soldiers killed in Afganistan were under Obama's leadership!
