I can't stand that guy.

Just what we need; every bar and restaurant run like yet another corporate cookie cutter. I am all for making money and running a ship however one likes. I am NOT all for every single place being a variation on a theme.

We were in a dumpy/comfy place out in Moorefield WV yesterday, stopped at Good Times Lounge. Out on a 325 mile ride, 7 of us, Mt. Storm, Smoke Hole Road, back through Stephens City. Decent bar food, cold beer, a pool table, so so bathrooms and real people. Cheap, a little run down. Joe's grandson is running around being a 4 year old. Grandma is more or less keeping him from burning the place down and/or otherwise breaking stuff. Joe plops down in a seat with us and ask what we'd like. You could smoke. At your table.

In any event, food was fine, real good fries, Joe kept the beverages coming at a fine pace and then told us he had a set of saddlebags, hanging on the wall, he was trying to sell for a buddy. Gave them to us to check out and just said 'let me know if you're interested'.

All in all, decent food, cheap, cold beer, useable bathroom, crappy parking lot, used saddlebags for sale, casual, friendly atmosphere. It did the job. I'd like my nation run like that.

That TV guy would say they are doing it all wrong.
