On Saturday, August 18, 2012, we will be holding a benefit concert for our friends, Brent Jones and Charmaine Richardson. Brent and Charmaine are now paralyzed due to accidents they were involved in and need your help.
Brent Jones who is a member of the Prince Frederick Volunteer Rescue Squad and father of a 10 year old daughter, was paralyzed in an ATV accident in August of 2010. While riding his ATV with his daughter, the ATV throttle got jammed sending the ATV and Brent into a ravine after he tossed his daughter off to save her from injury. Brent's actions saved his daughter, who received broken wrists from the incident, but paralyzed him from the accident.
Charmaine Richardson who was a student, mother of a 2 year old daughter and 5 months pregnant, was in a car accident that paralyzed her on December 2011. While coming home from school waiting for traffic to pass and safely pull out onto the road, Charmaine's car was struck by an aggressive driver passing another vehicle. Her car was t-boned on the driver side by the oncoming aggressive driver, and spun Charmaine's car in the air while ejecting her from the vehicle. Charmaine survived the accident along with her new born son, but is now paralyzed from the accident.
Brent Jones with daughter and Charmaine Richardson with daughter and son are pictured here.
