Is There a Doctor in the USA?!? You Will Have ObamaCare, But Will You Have a Physician? (http://www.pjtv.com/?cmd=mpg&mpid=105&load=7251)

Sure you will have insurance under ObamaCare, but you might not have a doctor. The nation faces an imminent shortage of physicians. Will doctors simply stop taking insurance and Medicare? Can government cure this problem, or did government create the doctor shortage? Find out on this Trifecta.

EXACTLY!!!

There is already an 87% shortage of primary care providers in southern Maryland.

In any business, and health care is a business, what happens when supply GREATLY overwhelms demand?

Another thought. Would if a PCP said "I'm not taking ANY insurance"?

The patient comes in, pays market rate in cash/check/charge/barter and the patient submits that bill to their insurance company, to get reimbursed by whatever insurance they have at the rate the insurance company decides to reimburse at, which may or may not be as much as the provider charged.

Forced to take insurance? Laughable. If the reimbursement rate isn't high enough for a PCP to pay their bills, their doors shut, they go get another job at a big box health care place....or was that the master plan all along?
