RT 5 is currently closed for reconstruction of a serious MVA. Traffic is currently being routed through L-Town. Not sure how that will affect the construction of the sand box in the middle of the square.

I went to it. It was pretty hot that day. Good food. The artist who paints detailed paintings on Chesapeake Bay crab shells was really neat. The kids liked the hose down.

It was super hot, and I think attendance may have been down a bit from previous years. Thanks to everyone who came out! Next big event is this:

A Poker Walk and Motor Rally will be held in Leonardtown from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 17. The event is a benefit for the Southern Maryland Vacations for Vets program hosted by the Greenwell Foundation at Greenwell State Park in Hollywood. The rally also will feature live music, food and fun.
The Southern Maryland Vacations for Vets program offers recovering servicemen and women and their families a relaxing weekend at Greenwell's Knott Lodge. Their stay is free thanks to the generosity of volunteers, donations, and local businesses.
