Yep, they are scary! That's a great camera, makes that spider look like something from a movie. Wow.

Had one that kept making the web on the front porch, so you walk out at night and he is sitting there in all his 12 inch glory (could be a bit of a lie about the size) right at face level. I moved him a number of times, he kept finding his way back.

two nights ago I hit him again, Lady Clarol hair spray and a bic lighter expressed my concerns to him very nicely. He wont be back, and I made good friends with the guys from the local fire department.

Maybe it has a learning disable and you should not be making fun of it.

it could be sitting back expecting other spiders to bring it stuff to eat.

Hubby came in and found it had made a web on the glass door going out the back of the house - took it down. we came in the house - 2 hours later - go look out the back door and its sitting there making its web again - going round and round, working its way to the center.. this picture isn't the picture I took either (sorry for the confusion) but the web that the spider at my house did look thick and crazy like this in some areas. Garden orbs.. hmm.. it definitely had like a dark brown color on the legs going into the body.. big spider. could see the hair or whatever it is on the legs. have to download when I get home..

I had a similar looking spider on my deck lastnight but his web was very neatly made. I was staring at it thinking how amazing spiders really are.The way they can make those webs and then the way they spin up their food that gets caught in the web, very impressive. Don't get me wrong, I hate spiders but were in the same place at the same time, lol!

Those things are all over our porches. Every morning I karate chop my way out the door :( I hate it when I'm the first one to leave the house. Fortunately it appears they just hang out in their webs at nighttime.
