Are these two in competition for starting the highest number of threads, they're coming out at a diarrhea like pace and the quality is to match.

As long as they stay fairly even on the numbers each post, I don't have a problem with it. I think it is important to have information available from both sides so folks can read and make up their own minds instead of just have one version of propaganda available.

However, if our exalted Board Mommy wanted to limit folks to starting no more than say, 20 new threads each day, I could totally get behind that! At some point, it would be more effective to choose wisely instead of just carpet-bombing to the point that no one reads ANYTHING!!! :whistle:

Thank you! I wanted to suggest something like that also. It gets old when other threads get buried because some people want to start 100 threads a day or more.

Although I would like to see the limited post thing, it's prolly not gonna happen. What I would really like is, when someone is put on ignore, their entire thread doesn't show up at all. THAT would rock my world! :yahoo:

When I click on New Posts, all their stuff is at the top, and everything else goes to the bottom and lately a second or third page.

I enjoy reading some of your threads. It's the peeps I have on ignore that I want to vanish...

I get caught up in them sometimes, like tonight when the forums are quiet otherwise, but it's just to kill time for me. Around 11-11:30, I'm done. Daytime in Afghanistan, I get to talk to hubby for a few, then off to bed.

I enjoy much of what you post and deeply appreciate the balance that you bring to the politics forum. Having only one point of view showing up on the thread listings veers perilously close to propagandizing instead of issue discussion. Sure there may be discussion within those threads but the casual viewer would not see that at first glance. Keep up the good work - there are still folks who haven't made up their minds yet. Keep giving them an opposing view!

Yup... Even when you hit the "forums read" option, they quickly shoot to the top again because there are so many... It's just going to get crazier with the elections drawing near. Vrai said she can wipe out the whole politic selection, that's the route I am going to go..... so ETC and NhBoy can resume their circle jerks without an audience...
