The Commission on Presidential Debates announced today that ABC News senior foreign affairs correspondent Martha Raddatz will be moderating the Vice Presidential Debate this fall between Joe Biden and Paul Ryan.ABC’s Martha Raddatz Named Moderator for Vice Presidential Debate on October 11 - ABC News (http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/headlines/2012/08/abcs-martha-raddatz-named-moderator-for-vice-presidential-debate-on-october-11/)
More to come....
As I'm not personally familiar with this lady I had to do a bit of research. I did mention in another post that the debate between Biden and Ryan would probably focus on Biden's supposedly foreign affairs cred.
If she's like all the other LSM 'reporters', she won't be able to keep her biases out of the questioning.
Despite her worldview, Ms. Raddatz is very much a denizen of the Beltway culture, having been married to three well-known Washington figures. Tom Gjelten (http://www.fair.org/blog/2009/01/30/npr-cia-says-sites-that-never-existed-now-closed/), her husband of the past 15 years, is a correspondent for National Public Radio; Julius Genachowski (http://www.fair.org/blog/2010/12/02/nyt-defining-internet-openness-downward/), her second husband, was a law school classmate of President Obama and is now chairman of the Federal Communications Commission. Her first marriage was to Ben Bradlee Jr., son of the legendary Washington Post editor–a relationship that propelled her into a gossip column dust-up earlier this year.Martha Raddatz, Insider War Correspondent#|#NYTimes eXaminer (http://www.nytexaminer.com/2011/11/martha-raddatz-insider-war-correspondent/)
