I know many of you have helped others find missing pets, and although you could not help by keeping a look-out (I'm in SC), I was looking for suggestions that may have helped others. I have posted on a local forum here- although it does not seem to get much traffic. I have done the obvious things like looked and talked to neighbors. Will contact animal shelters in the morning and also have placed a lost and found ad on craigslist. Plan on putting up some fliers in the morning too..... Anything else I have not thought of?? I am heartbroken. I have no idea how the cat could have gotten out of the house, but cannot find him anywhere- he is a good hider but has never been awol this long. thanks in advance for any advice.

I'm sorry to hear your cat is missing. Please know that cats will run off from time to time. They also decide to come back home. Keep on the look out but be patient. Your kitty will likey show up.

I am so sorry about your cat; they are so stealthy to get out. I am a freak about that; big surprise. The only thing you didn't mention that you have done is Facebook. Did the cat have a collar tag or chip? Again, I am so sorry; I hope you find your lovee. :huggy:

Edit: Do you have any construction going on because I just went through that; worried about the cats getting into the walls. I actually had that happen once years ago. Just a thought.

Call local vets. That's how a buddy of mine recovered his dog.

Thank you. Had not thought of that.

Follow on... create a flyer for the vets to post, a lot have boards. Also PETCO / PETSMART might be able to help put the word out. The advantage in posting something at the vet, and a pet store is fellow pet owners see it.

Good luck.

and bad kitty for putting you through this.

Thanks all for your comments. I just posted fliers in the neighborhood, called the pound, put the info out on two different lost pet sites. Plan on posting fliers at the vets and the pound let me email them one to post. Nothing from craigslist or the local forum- but at least my forum post is getting views. Petsmart/co is a good idea too- thanks.

Could not sleep last night without the cat on my head. He had better turn up- my 7 year old is almost as upset as I am. :( Think good thoughts for me please.

A neighbor thinks she saw my Tini on her porch last night! Set a trap with food-- Keeping fingers crossed that it is him and I can get him home. Had about given up that I would see him again.....
