Anybody know anything about it? I pasted a new image onto a blank canvas, but I don't want the white background to show. In other words, I just want the free floating image w/o any background color showing. Anybody know of an easy way to accomplish this?

TIA!

are you saving as a gif or jpg?
only gif can have transparent background.
look for a setting to save as transparent gif?????

or look for a transparent background when starting??????

I have never used it and don't have it here to look at now.

I haven't even gotten to that point yet. Just copied the pic from the Internet and pasted into PSP. There's a selection feature that will outline it, but doesn't do a very good job at producing clean edges. :ohwell:

From my experiencein Photoshop, TIFFs and JPEGs don't support transparent backgrounds, but GIFs and EPSs do. I haven't used Paint Shop Pro, but I doubt that it supports EPS since that's an Adobe proprietary format.
