I've never used any Unix-based software, except for a few FreeBSD commands on a Web server. Is Linspire the only Macintosh-GUI-type operating system based on Unix? Paging Unixpirate... ("Arrgh, avast those swabs at Microsoft!")

you can get a graphical GUI with Linux by using KDE...

Linspire is supposed to make it easier to use Linux, eg. plug and play. also, if you just use the computer for the internet, e-mail, dvd, music, and not much games, it might be a good OS to have
