Anyone having trouble with dropped calls in the last 3 days?
Both the GF in Indy and myself here are dropping calls, not just to each other, left and right.
I called Verizon to complain and they told me to update my roaming capability, but that hasn't helped. They did say they would cut me a break on my bill this month, but I'm still dropping calls all over the place. :ohwell:

Nope, called the daughter in Fla. Talked for over half an hour. No problem.

 So no one else is having problems then?I had two dropped calls yesterday, both for "lost service" while I was looking at a cell tower out my car window.

I don't get dropped calls. My problem with Verizon is that I won't get a VM notification until sometimes a week after the message was left. I just picked up my phone last night and there was a "Message Waiting". So I dialed into my VM and had two messages from over a week ago.

I get the same thing..a week later a VM will pop up after the person asked me the week before if I received it.

My wife had her Verizon cellphone *DIE* while we were talking. She said it read "Downloading Mode" on the display - something it doesn't appear to ever do. Taking it in to Verizon, they told her that, basically, it has died. It's been two years, long enough for a phone to 'live'. For $50, they offered to 'replace' it.
How sweet. The phone dies, and for 50 bucks, they'll replace it. Anyone smell "planned obsolescence" here (to borrow a phrase from the 60's)?

Hate to go against the flow...but zero dropped calls or any problems for that matter with my Verizon wireless service. Voicemail icon pops up about a minute after the voicemail is left. A WHOLE lot better coverage that Nextel.
Maybe some of you deadbeats need to pay your bills to avoid Verizon carving your service up and providing you with crappy service! (...just kidding! :howdy: )

Apparently not. In fact, I just got a new Verizon phone last night.

Wish I had known, I could have possibly gotten you hooked up with a free or deeply discounted replacement.

You got a hook up at Verizon? I LOVE Verizon but hate my phone and have had it less then a year so I really don't want to pay retail for a new one.
