Ken, yeah D-Jay spilled the beans.  I hope you are back in tip top shape very soon.  I'd give you a pretty flower too, but I'm clueless of how to do that! :(

Thanks guys,

The wife set me up with the lap top so I can start to get back to being myself.  Still a little fuzzy from the meds, but getting back up to speed rapidly.  I have to wait a couple weeks for the analysis of the tumors but I'm optomistic.

Again thanks.

Well I'm back to my workstation and not using the lap top anymore. #Don't know but I just wasn't as comfortable using it. #Anyway there is only moderate pain, dressings removed and healing nicely, at least that is what the wife says, I can only catch a glimpse of them in the mirrors. #I should easily be able to go back to work on Monday.

As always once the doctor started giving me the local he saw another melanoma spot and took that one too, the largest was just less than a half-inch in diameter and the small one was about an eighth of an inch. #The lipoma was somewhat larger, tennis ball size, though only about an inch diameter was observable above the muscle layer just below the surface. That sucker hurt even with the local and still throbs a little now. #

For the first time under a knife I guess it wasn’t that bad of an experience. #Anyway thanks for the kind words.

Ken,

I know you don't know me...personally or anything.  I read this thread...and wanted to wish you well.  Glad you are doing well. :)
Take care.

Barbra,

Thanks but I am not totally healed yet. #The lipoma is no problem but the melanoma spots have been an issue. #They went back after one of the areas three times and now they say they have got it all (again). #I am going for blood work every couple of months to make sure it hasn't migrated to the lymph nodes. #Not yet on any anti-cancer drugs like interferon, but time will tell. #

My husband has had a few spots removed over the years. #The most recent one was a few weeks ago...it's back. #I measured it for him this morning, when he finally got around to telling me, we'll be keeping track of it. #Good luck with yours.

Sharon,

Thanks and keep an eye on your old man.  I am finding out that melanoma isn't anything to play with.  Numerous folk die from cancer that is left to run its course instead of being dealt with.  The wife has started a routine of checking me out for new growth.  This is becoming kind of fun, all most like foreplay for men.
