If you feel that people don't know who their reprentatives are you are mistaken or they are idiots. #This tricounty area has close to a quarter million people of which about half of us know who are elected officials are because we voted for or against them.

Also you did bring up the subject of cloning (what is the title of this string) and I guess you don't have an opinion. #Had you even bothered to read through the various postings in all of these forums you would see that we have had a discussion concerning it and you might want to look at past survey questions that SOMD has asked. #You might also discover that at times some of us recommend contacting the elected officials when we read about their issues. #This forum has been running for years and most, if not all, the participants know what is going on, whether we agree with each other or not is another issue. #You will also find that some of us take our discussions seriously and if you are looking to play you might want to find another playground.

I see you like to shop - you should of used this senerio - The department stores send out sales papers every single week. To every home.  Including mine. Well I still don't know every single sale that goes on every single week - even though I get the information sent to my house. Most likely if Im not interested in shopping that week or day - chances are I will not look at the sales paper.. Until people start getting interested in the political playground - they will not read or find out whats going on.  I know someone just like that.. About Human Cloning - I don't think its natural. Will these clones be grown in a tube? I haven't really researched this - just read articles here and there.. But if something isn't born of a women - why would you want to do it?  In the name of science I suppose.

I didn't think young people were idiots until I started coming on this forum.  My kids are rational, reasonable human beings who don't sit around and give their opinion on things they know nothing about.  They actually bother to find out something about the topic before they spew.  But thank you for your concern.

You know I do respect many of you on here, but vraiblonde you always and I mean always take Ken's side no matter what he says.  In the beginning of this whole thing Ken said some negative stuff about play and as usual SxyP put her two cents in it and it spriraled out of control.  Play may not have had a open opinion about the whole human cloning thing, but that is her right to not have an opinion openly about it.  We have seen it many times where Ken consistently tries to downgrade young women who get on here.  From his many posts that he has on here, it seems to me that he has a complex about himself.  He constantly seems to create an atmosphere of control on his part.  

Personally, I think Ken is a very intelligent and aspiring human being, but there  are sometimes when I wish that he would not be so hard or critical of peoples opinions of things.

BBC, you're probably right.  I guess since I've been posting back and forth with Ken for so many years I don't take offense to things he writes, even when he tells me that I'm not his Mom and to butt out! :lmao:  He <i>is</i> gruff and uncompromising but I don't see him as the fight-starter.  The first offensive thing (IMO) that got thrown out there was "You're being watched, Ken King," like the CIA or IRS is coming to town.  You can't expect to jump on a forum with a bunch of old-timers, talk smack, and not have it come back at you.

So you're right - I do take Ken's side because I think he gets an unfair amount of juvenile attacks that are out of proportion to the comments he makes.

I don't have an issue with women, as I have loved some of the best of them and they have loved me.  My wife still does, though I know I can be a major pain in the a$$
at times, but can't we all.  I don't attempt to control anything but I do have some very human tendencies of not being ridiculed or jerked around.  When I have factual data I share it.  Now if countering a false or inaccurate statement is a matter of control, so be it.  I don't see it that way.   According to your sister that is what has been going on, being jerked around by the office visitor.  The other issues I have had with people have truly been a matter of my inability to get the message I want to get out in a form that they can understand without getting pissed off.   In regard to Vraiblonde always taking my side I think you might be somewhat wrong.  In the early days we were very much opponents on several topics. Has anyone ever thought that it might be that we have been communicating on these forums for about four years now?  She has learned to read my messages as they are, smooth out the rough edges of the message and go for the meaning of them without the emotion that backs up in a lot of people’s throats.   Please reread my first post in this string and then ask yourself what it was that I said that was so wrong.  After that point I will admit that I was drawn into the fray and should have exercised a little civility.  I have seen this from most of us though, including you, so lets just say lesson learned and move on.

PmoneyandTT verified that the person was using her machine.  I know how to search IPs.  Maybe in Atlanta they do it differently but the breakdown of the four octets can usually get you to the server and in this case it did and it was accurate.  Bet you hate that.
