I have a questions regarding a formula to calculate an equation such as:

f(x) = 2x³ + 4x² + 5

I have 12 variables for x. Is there a way I can set this up in excel if I put all the x variables in one column and the f(x) equation in another to calculate the answers for each x variable?

Appreciate your help!

Wow...wasn't expecting that kind of response. Maybe I should rephrase my question. How do I get the x in the function to replace with a number? I'm not all that great with excel.

Does that make more sense, I guess I'm making this harder than it needs to be. If you are going to make another sarcastic comment, don't bother commenting.

Yep,

Set up column A with your variables and then create the equation substituting "x" for the variable location (starting with A1). In this case your formula would be "=2*(A1^3)+4*(A1^2)+5"
