At the local convenience center there is a placard stating only plastic containers with numbers 1 or 2 were acceptable. Code 3 or higher is not. This is the code on the bottom of the container within the "recycle" symbol. Most containers I have checked are 1 or 2. However, I have seen a few higher. Who knows what places the plastic into what recycling code?
