There are literally thousands of spyware detectors/removers.

I know that Microsoft has a new malicious software detector and it's downloadable off their website if you have genuine windows software. Although I haven't read much about it, I think it detects and removes spyware, but I wouldn't swear that it detects and removes kestroke loggers.

I'd do more research on the matter, but I should be getting some work done.

But I still didn't check out a comprehensive list of its features, so I don't know if it detects keystroke loggers.

Through winconfig you can stop it from starting again, and stop it from running now.

If a keystroke logger is on the machine the damage is already done. It sends everything you type to the email address of the person that purchased it and set it up. If its a cybersitter then you need a password to touch it and it will block whatever the person set it up to block.

I did that, and I didn't see anything but I know when the eBlaster was on here, it didnt show up on those things cuz I looked for it. It was some kinda hidden crap and you had to have some kinda special keystrokes to pull it up and then it had a pw. I could be wrong about something being on here.

Chances are if someone had installed one they don't trust you and have reason for that. If they paid money to spy on you, chances are you won't find it on your own.Do you have a computer savy friend that will come over and look?

So far so good, MS Defender, Ad-aware, both good, also check out Spybot search and destroy. Between these three no spyware should escape detection. Also I suggest AVG anti virus. Zone alarm also has free firewall software that is fairly simple to use and set up.

If you have any trouble PM me I'm a computer tech by day, mild mannered geek by night. :thickglasseswithtape:

Try booting up in safe mode first. (press F5 during bootup) Then run your scans. If it still can't be removed, you may want to write down the names and see if there is a removal tool on symantecs security response site.

Again if you need help just ask.

If the keystroke spyware was in place, then everything was available. I personally never saw anything here on the forums that her husband should have been upset about.

My guess would be emails, IM's, PM's and her myspace accounts.

She knew that he had done it before, and it looks like he did it again.

I do hope that she gets her life straight.
