The old girl has some lumps on her back that seem to be a bit tender if you touch them. I'm going to make a vet appt. on Monday. Any ideas what it might be? She's almost 14, seems to feel okay.....

Have them looked at but most old dogs get lumpy. Usually it's nothing to worry about.

I'll take her next week. She seems fine. Tom found them and got me all worried.

We got blocked from the forums today. I hope it's a temporary thing.

My Golden had a lot of them. My old lab mix has one on his chest. They are more than likely just fatty tumors.

Are they painful to your dog when you touch them?

My lab seems bothered by the one on his chest if I fool with it. It's been there a good while and has been checked by the vet every time he goes for his checkups.

I'll just take her in next week. She is such a sweetie.

My Sheltie had one on his paw that didn't bother him. It was benign. I wish we hadn't had it removed, because the recovery from that was far worse than the tumor was.

She's got one mid-back on one near her neck. I'm worried. On the other hand, our cat, shutupcat, is doing just fine.

Hard, kind of. They don't mush down if you press on them, but they kind of move.

No. She's a beagle mutt mix.

The vet will most likely be able to tell you just by feeling them. The one on my lab was iffy so she did a needle biospy and all was fine.

Labs are one of the breeds that is prone to lipomas.

She isn't whining or anything, but Tom got me all worried and so now I'm having a breakdown about it. I'll get the vet to look at it. Thanks.

P.S. Tell Otter to tell Pete I make my own choices in the football pool and that he (pete) should quit being such a wussy about being beat by a girl. :huggy: TIA.

I had a lab that had several, but they were fatty lumps. They gave us the option to have them drained, but everyone I knew who had that done said they filled back up in time.

Hopefully, the vet will ease your mind and it will be nothing.

Pete and Otter are big boys. I leave them alone.

:lmao: I did the pick out of the hat (it was a cool-whip container, actually) trick. My co-worker worked on it with me. YA THINK I WOULD HAVE PICKED DALLAS ON MY OWN? The Panther uniforms are so much cuter. Plus Dallas is using their second-string quarterback.

I just took my Min Pin in for some lumps on her back and her neck and the Doc told me they were warts. I wouldn't let it worry you too much. He said it is common for older dogs to get them. :huggy:

Just to clarify things a bit. There are two lumps, on on the back and one on the neck. They feel like a large blister, as if they were filled with fluid. She doesn't like them messed with, but if it's combined with an overall back-scratch they don't seen to cause her pain. They'va been there a few months and don't seem to be changing. Thanks all. :yay:
