Hi, I'm pretty new on the Forums! I'm sure this probably has already been discussed, but I wanted to bring this back up again. Anyone had any bad dealings with Mark from Mark Electronics? I have decided that he's probably the rudest person in Business. He likes to argue with the customers and think he's right about everything. How can he still be in business? I would rather buy a new TV from a major store then have him fix anything of mine electronically.

A lady I work with took her TV there and went back to get it after being put off for 3 weeks because it was not ready, in the meantime he sold her 60 inch TV because she didn't pick it up! She eventually traced it down and she and the new owners confronted him about it, he finally after about 5 mnths and the involvement of an attorney returned the money to the new owners and my friend got her TV back.

That's terrible, we all need to get the word out to the County Folks to not take their business there. He's robbing people blind. He said that he repaired my TV when he didn't. He charged me a high price and I wanted my TV back, so I paid him. After discovering the warranty seal was never broken, he didn't touch my TV at all. I believe in what goes around, comes around. He'll get his in the end.

Yep, he is a bad example of a person and local or for that matter any business person. Same thing happened to me that I'm hearing happening to everyone else. Not only me but others I speak to from losing their equipment, losing parts of it, things not working when they get them home, other things broke, and him charging them a second time when they bring it back, often with the customer saying keep it. Charging for things he did not even do which I believe is a common practice for him. But when you get ripped off and theripper offer is as nasty and arrogrant as he is, its even worse. I guess the worse thing is once you give him the equipment he has you, but I would never leave the equipment behind, wouldn't give him the satisfaction of making money off of it that way. Please pass the word around on this guy, the town is still small enough to make it heard. Just ask people you see about him, you will be surprised how many horror stories you will hear, a lot of pissed off people. I just can't stand people like him and his store, its a hateful place.

About 9-10 years ago, he did good by me several times. Accurate low estimate, fast repair and courteous. I went back about a year ago and as soon as he pulled the rotten attitude, I left.

I just dealt with him for the first time in the last few weeks and his shop is a rip off. Also, I am detecting some attitude, but the bullying described below will not be tolerated if he pulls it with me. Told him I am coming to pick it up after a silly quote and he said "fine".

So I will be picking up my equipment today and trying to find someone else to work on it. As stated, he is about the only game in town and his game is BS and Redskins crap. Not much to do with electronics.
