What happened to the Roost?
They just closed one day. My girlfriend was working there and they never called to even tell her she didn't have a job anymore. She just showed up and the doors were locked, the lights were out, and no one answered the phone for weeks.

And know the proper way to cut vegetables for certain dishes. I've had aloo gobi where the potatos were like they came out of a can.

:barf: I hate canned potatoes.
Indian style is the only way anyone can get me to eat cauliflower too. Otherwise, I gag on it:shrug:
I want some real indian cheese and some butter chicken. I can not duplicate that recipe for nothin'.:frown:

I'm not sure where theses guys are from but you know every region has different foods.
I have only 2 pieces of Gahari left over from the Indian party I did friday night, you want some BB? The food they served was so yummy! I'm almost thinking of making the pilgrimage up to Waldorf for some.

I had Indian food for the first time while in NY last summer. It was soooo good! I can't even remember what i got. It came with several different sauces. I ended up having the leftovers for breakfast the next morning.

Let's DANCE!!
The cooking styles from North to South are very different. One is considerably more spicy than the other, but it's mostly all good IMO.
You had Indian food? I bet your weekend was fun? Did you have lassi?:ohwell:
If you are at home, I wanna call ya, m'kay? I have to ride out for a few later on so I can stop by:whistle:

What's the "LP"? I love Indian food, but don't know where I can get it in SOMD. Is there any in Calvert County?

LP could be LaPlata or Lex Park. I am assuming since they said where the Roost is/was....that they mean Lex Park.

Thanks! I hope it's Lexington Park...that's a lot closer for me (when I'm in SOMD). Here in Richmond, I've got six Indian places within about seven miles of me.

NAVAIR moving here. When we were NATC and did real work, the Roost was the place for pilots. Many of the original astronaunts had plaques there and hats. The place was full of pilot memorabilia. Wonder what happened to all the historic things. Now with NAVAIR, just pencil pushers from DC who have their own new North gate and the built up 235 with chain restaurants.

I think I remember reading that some of the history stuff is being picked up by the Museum. I hope they did, and were able to recover most of it. Some very interesting things there.

I ate at Curry of India in Waldorf for lunch today and spoke with the owner. He told us that he is opening up an Indian Restaurant in San Souci Plaza where Hot Noodle used to be. He is opening on Friday, October 3rd!

That sucks. I hope the location will not deter for the news business. JMO, the building is located in a bad spot, does not have the best of parking and is not in the best element.
