She deserves worse. She got off easy.

Though I know all you Palin :dork:s have suddenly become more ...uhhh.... "sensitive"....to Hillary's plight.

Now that you can exploit it for yourselves.

I say this, as a card carrying feminist and working mom, about Palin's sexism complaints....

Wahfrigginwaaah

No one in the Obama/Biden campaign is holding her up to standards higher that any male cadidate would, and neither is the regular media. And the carefully aranged interviews/not answering crowd questions strikes me as the most sexist thing of all. What? Is talking to the press or voters without reading from a script something only a man can handle? Girlfriend needs to get out there on the talkshow circuit and prove herself. If she can't handle tough interviews how is she going to handle Putin?

There are many other Republican women McCain could have picked that would have swayed my and many other dem/indy women's votes. Palin was clearly picked to pander to the far-right and the women his campaign thought would vote for anyone with ovaries. Sad thing is, McCain would have been my first choice in 2000.

Now that you can exploit it for yourselves. :yawn:I think if you look, a lot of us were talking about how Hillary was getting the shaft long before Palin was in the picture. We discussed how she got more votes than Obama, how Obama was selected, not elected, etc., etc. So, you'd be pretty wrong in your assessment here.

Forget the race and female cards. I'd like to know who Putin would vote for and I'd go out tomorrow and and get all the buttons and banners and signs I could for the opposite candidate, who would obviously NOT be the weakest link.

Can you point me to where Barry's fatherhood was called into question because he has two young girls and might have a time consuming job?

TYIA

You don't get it.

She put her family out there and trumpeted her "hockey mom" persona, then squaks about those things being questioned?

When has a man (or woman) run for office and said "my parenting skills make me more qualified than my opponent"?

The press and bloggers are not members of any campaign. Scandal and dirt sell papers, talking points don't. I would never run for office and expect all my skeletons to stay in the closet.

She put her family out there and trumpeted her "hockey mom" persona, then squaks about those things being questioned? No one's questioning her "hockey mom" persona, though. They're questioning whether a person with children is doing their children a disservice by having a high power, time consuming job. I've not heard that discussed of Bill and Hillary (both of whom worked), I've not heard that discussed of Joe Biden as a single parent for the time his kids were too young to care for themselves after momma died, I've not heard that discussed of Barry and Michelle (both of whom work), but here it is a part of the questioning of Sarah. That's sexist, and inappropriate. Question if she really has kids in hockey, or if she pays attention to them, but not whether she should drop out of the potential for a job simply because she's a mother. When has a man (or woman) run for office and said "my parenting skills make me more qualified than my opponent"? Never, including Sarah, to my knowledge. If Sarah has said this, I'd like to see the quote in context. The press and bloggers are not members of any campaign. Scandal and dirt sell papers, talking points don't. I would never run for office and expect all my skeletons to stay in the closet.I agree. How is the mere fact that she's a woman a "skeleton in the closet"?

.
I think maybe the left doesnt get it.
never has a candidate pointed to the parenting skills to show qualification.
however, everyone claims that washington is out of touch with the working family, and that is what is causing the problems we now have.

here you have a candidate that points to the fact that she has lived the working family life, and suddenly its no good?

I thought you wanted change. Is change putting someone in office that has had life handed to them again, or is change putting someone in office that really understands what it is to work, raise a family, balance a household budge, do laundry, dishes, cook, clean etc..
before Sarah became governor, she did these things, she did the PTA and the Child rearing.
Out of all the politicians that have come and gone since I was born, she might be the first one that actually understands the American middle class burden.
