I really need to get some Manuka honey.I just wondered if any one has seen it in any stores around here? I have looked on line but seems really overpriced. If not I will have to get online but one never knows-usually I can not see for looking!!

I just know sometimes it pays to shop around. I just have not seen it over here in the regular grocery stores in their honey section but I could be wrong.

Yes the quality and medicinal properties are more ;potent Manuka honey has very potent healing qualities.Scientists and doctors have even used it to treat MRSA.
There was also one man in the newspaper who had chronic leg ulcers.The doctors had threatened that they may have to cut his leg off.He had tried everything(even maggots) and then discovered Manuka honey.He applied it to his ulcers and they healed completely.They actually do ointments with Manuka honey in it.
I am usually skeptical of amazing claims but Manuka really is wonderful.
Plus it tastes yummy.Especially the honey comb on hot toast.
It is also good for colds.

I had heard of this manuka honey by way of a diabetic newsletter. I've not seen it locally but have not hunted for it locally either. Seems to be pretty amazing stuff.
