Does anyone know if there is an MVA branch were you can get a replacement title while you wait?
Recently someone hit one of our cars and the body shop totaled the car. We have considered a buy back and repair but have found that we have to have the title to settle the claim.
We have searched high and low and cannot locate the title and the MVA online service takes 10 business days to send one by mail.
On ever-hold now so if anyone can answer the question, we would greatly appreciate it. TIA.

I would think the Glen Burnie one would be your best bet. Or just call one and ask :howdy:

Any full service MVA office can give you a duplicate title. You just need to go in and fill out the form. If there are 2 people on the title, then both will need to sign that form. If you financed the car, they may require a lien release letter from the financial institution.

Needed to get a copy of the title for my old car, took 10 minutes in Waldorf.
If there are 2 people on the title, say "Oh, he's in the car, I'll be right back", go out of sight, sign his name on the request form and return. From what I understand, it's legal to sign a spouse's name so long as they know you are doing it and have their permission.

You probably haven't but don't forget your title number...It will be on your registration card....Seems to me if you have the number, you could go to Loveville and get a duplicate

Yes indeed and I spent more time on hold than I did waiting for the replacement title. Well it was close anyway.
