Does anyone know where I can get books repaired? Old books with broken backs and jackets. I can't find anything in the phone books.

Look for binders or binding or bookbinding. There are some out of state, but not sure about in MD, DC or VA. I did find this for Rockville though. Distinctive Bookbinding - Restoration (http://www.distinctivebookbinding.com/db_restoration.htm)

SugarBear,
A friend informed me of your post and it's taken me this long to get registered here in order to answer you.
If you're still looking, I do hand bookbinding and repair here in southern Maryland. I have a small shop sent up in my basement and would be happy to talk to you. I have over ten years experience and do leather, cloth and paper repair and binding. I have examples of my work plus "before and after" pics of work I have done for clients.
So, if you'd like to work with someone local, please let me know.
