SUCCESS!!! :yahoo:
OMG, the wings were so good! And I thank all of you who gave your suggestions so that I may achieve this milestone in my life!
I soaked the wings in buttermilk overnight. Then drained them and patted them dry. Seasoned them with smoked salt, then shook them in a bag filled with flour seasoned with Old Bay and peri peri spice mix. Fried them in peanut oil with the lid on: 10 minutes, turn, 10 minutes. Cooked for another minute or two with the lid off. Drained on a wire rack.
YUM!!!! :cartwheel
The peanut oil really gave it a great flavor, so  to whoever suggested that.
