Hey all...I am looking for somewhere new to go out to eat. Hubby and I are planning to get out for dinner this weekend and really want to go somewhere with great steaks and seafood. I live in Calvert but am willing to drive across the bridge if it's worth it...HELP!

Jerry's Place in PF. Consistently great food (seafood...no steaks) and service.

Is Jerry's that place that used to be Bert's years ago?

What's it like inside? Because that doesn't sound very Valentine's Dayish to me.

Very nice inside. :yay: Not elegant..but nice. Jerry completely redid the place with the help of somebody near and dear to me.
He is very busy on the weekends and has a steady following. I'll bet tomorrow will be a zoo. I was there last Saturday and it was packed with people waiting the entire time I was there. It's not a large place but EVERYONE that works there is friendly and they are all about you having a good dining experience.

I had a Jake and Al's steak last weekend. It was ok, it was cooked right but it's nothing special. Salt and pepper didn't improve it much. I've made better steaks at home. IMO Outback or that Texas place in Lex. Pk. have tastier steaks.

Next time we go to dinner, suggest it. I'd like to try it out and see what they've done with it.

Jaspers steaks are much better thant J&A's or Outback...although I enjoy Outback.
