Can anyone tell me how a 5-star toilet of today compares to the toilets of the 70's?

I have old toilets that will suck your arm off, but unfortunately they are also 70's colors. I noticed that the new low flow toilets now have a flush rating, can anyone give me a comparison.

I know the last place I lived the toilet was replaced with one that only used 1.6 gallons a flush and it would not take a good size turd down. The 5 star ones supposedly can take a whole bucket of golf balls, but I don't crap golf balls so I could care less about that.

The new American Standard that we put in the master bath is a powerful unit. I think I spent $450 on it and I have never had a problem with it.:yay: The golf ball test was one of the tests tat they run on it. I got it from Hughes Supply in Waldorf (next to Beacon Surplus).

American Standard Right Height (ada compliant) Champion 2 piece.

I don't believe the elongated models will work well in my bathrooms.
