Whistle Stop Marinade
You can get it at Nick's and it is YUMMMM!!!! Normally I make my own marinades but the stocker kid steered me toward this and that young man knew what he was talking about.
I skipped the LC tonight and broiled a steak marinated in this stuff and OMG it was so good. I didn't even hardly use any steak sauce on it. So I have a roast marinating in it and will toss it in the crockpot in the morning.

I have that brand of batter at home...haven't used it yet because the recipe on the back says buttermilk.....
What is buttermilk or is it something you make if so how do you make it?

I picked up the chicken batter the other day..and forgot the buttermilk. You should purchase buttermilk but you can fake it by adding vinegar to milk.

If you have a good cookbook, in the back they usually tell you how to substitude ingredients. Buttermilk is usually some a combo of milk and vinegar (or google it).
