I saw the website but you can't tell much from it. I was hoping someone had the experience of going there.

My family owns a lot of land in lake Anna and I have been to that campground several times. It's pretty nice. There are lots of families with kids, and the scenery is good. If I were you I would venture out of the campground for a bit to see some less developed areas, if, like me, you're not all about rows of rows of campers. :howdy:

thanks, we've been to the Lake Anna State park and liked it but wasn't sure how this one was as far as cleanliness etc....

We went there a few years in a row with the most recent being two summers ago. We watched it go steadily downhill. The last time we went the toilets were barely in working order and the bath houses were dirty.
Other than the bathhouses it was nice, the people there are friendly.

We stay there a couple times a year. It's a boring campground if you are not going boating. They have 2 bathhouses... only 1 has showers. They are not the cleanest. We have a camper so I don't really care about that.

It just depends what you are going there for. If we didn't take a boat we wouldn't go to that campground. My brother stays at Christopher Run and the state park. They like the state park better. But sometimes stay at CR because he doesn't have to pull the boat out of the water there.
