Good morning forumites! Can someone direct me on what can be done for an appeal to the Juvenile Justice after a hearing? I have searched online, called DJJ, which am still waiting on a return call, so I was hoping to get some info. here. If what little information was avilable online, they do not have an appeal available.

Try 301-392-6900 for Charles County, but they should know how to file an appeal.

Your lawyer should know how to do this.

My suggestion: Give your kid a butt whooping for whatever he/she did and you may not have this problem again.

I agree, unfortunately, not my kid and nowadays, if the kid gets a butt whipping all they do is call abuse!!

True, best to let the courts do the whooping. I fear an appeal is a bad idea.

True, best to let the courts do the whooping. I fear an appeal is a bad idea. Yes I was told it would end up in ACTUAL court. So, it is best to leave it be. Kid needs to show responsibilities anyway; And it will be closed (juvenile records) once he is 18. Or 21...
